This series began in 2011 in a back portrait. It was the first of a long list. In the model's attitude of refusal towards the camera emphasized the idea of being contemplated rather than the fact of looking into the photographer's lens. At the same time it was the period of the beginning of working with prints on large format paper: the development of a technique that I still use today.
