Piel de papel 2022

The initial idea for this project was born from the exercise of dividing my own photographic work. It was already a recurring thought to isolate parts of an image to consider them as a whole and thus be able to confront them with others. I did it arbitrarily (or not) but always respecting a compositional sense and structural coherence. It always depends on innumerable factors such as strength, rhythm, harmony and above all, consistency of the conceptual discourse.Each of the fragments (which would adopt the name of pages) in themselves constitute a world that essentially has to do with the texture that I give to the paper, working it manually, as well as the tonal value that moves between ocher, sepia, dark deep or vast areas of folds. This makes each one of them unique and unrepeatable, taking precedence over the idea that limits photography to an obligatory serial reproduction
